- Before the expansion, the processing of “conventional three stages and one closed-circuit crushing + heap leaching” was used. Due to the poor reliability of the crushing equipment selected in the early stage, especially the fine crushing cone crusher, the entire system has been operating undesirably since it was put into production, and the system has not reached its production capacity and even faced shutdown.
- The system was upgraded in 2016, and a CLM2000/1500 HPGR was added as ultra-fine crushing equipment, and a closed-circuit screening process was adopted. At the same time, the ore discharge chute of the fine crushing cone crusher is enlarged to effectively improve the operating rate of the equipment. After the upgrade:
- After the crushed material passes through the HPGR, a large number of fine particles are produced, the product fineness is reduced from 12mm before upgrade to 5mm, and a large number of microcracks are generated inside the products, hence the subsequent grinding operation and heap leaching operation have been effectively improved, and the gold recovery rate has been increased by 11%.
The particle size produced by the cone crusher is enlarged to 25mm, the consumption of the liner of the cone crusher and the maintenance time are greatly reduced, and the operating rate of the whole system is greatly improved compared with that before the upgrade, the production capacity of the system is increased to 1200t/h, and the daily processing capacity reaches 26,000 tons.
